    Thanks, Josh. I’ve just about worked out everything I need to operate efficiently. Sorry to bother you with an endemic issue.

    About Bulk Edit: If I want to move posts from Column 1 to Column 2, I can check Column 2. But then they show as both Column 1 and Column 2. It would be nice to be able to remove or clear the Column 1 designation in Bulk Edit mode.

    Edit: I figured out how to publish them all at once (bulk edit).

    in reply to: Changing order and rearranging posted links

    I remembered reading this, and have returned to offer a solution. There is a Plugin called “Post Types Order” that allows you to drag and drop posts in order to change their order. Works perfectly. Much easier than changing date/time.

    FWIW I just ran into this as well and found this post. I tried encapsulating the ” in single quotes and in another set of double quotes. That still doesn’t work. Thanks for putting this on the list.

    in reply to: Widgets in header?

    Anand:
    Thanks for the helpful tutorial. I tried to add a widget area to the footer using: wpd_hook_after_content. Unfortunately, it put the area at the bottom of column 2. Don’t see any other hooks for the footer.

    PS. A slight correction: I believe you used “WP Custom Widget Area.” There’s another one called just “Custom Widget Area” but it hasn’t been updated in years.

    I want to move my logo, but keep the featured image and featured links centered.

    Thanks,

    Right now I’m getting it to work by adding ?wpd_ui=posted to the end of the generated code.

    in reply to: Change size for Additional Links of featured link only

    I’ve tried using inline css in heads, e.g. <span style=”background-color: #FF0000;”>Headline</span>

    It works fine, except it does not work for Additional Links. When I enter that into an Additional Link, it gets stripped out after I update.

    Josh: Check out RAGscoop.com. The featured link is: Crash!. The additional link is: New Jersey train crash in station kills …

    Here is what I added to functions.php

    remove_filter (‘comment_text’, ‘wptexturize’);

    The key turned out to be !important. I already figured out I needed to add it to font-family. I also needed to add it to font-weight.

    body {
    font-family: ‘Roboto Mono’ !important;
    font-weight: 700 !important;
    }

    Thanks!

    Played with it some more and here is the necessary change:
    .wpd-posted-links .additional-link {margin-top: 10px !important}

    Thanks!

    This is CSS? I dropped it into the Additional CSS box exactly as shown and nothing happened. I increased to 50px and still nothing.

    I’m trying to get it to look more like this:

    This is the main link.

    Additional Link 1

    Additional Link 2

    Josh,

    Check out Ragscoop.com. In column 2, I have a test link with a picture that Reads:

    This is the main link.
    Additional Link 1
    Additional Link 2

    I’d like more space above the additional links, so they are more visually separated.

    Thanks, Richard
