My FranklinGazette.com website has been loading in browsers very slowly. It takes the WP-Drudge theme about a minute to load in a browser. I don’t think it’s a Hosting issue because my other website with the same Host uses a different theme and it loads in browsers just fine. Is there anything thing that WP-Drudge can do to help it load faster?

    PROPER Web

    Hi Trey,

It looks like you’re just running RSS feeds and that’s going to be slower than just content out of the site. Best bet is to make sure those are cached (settings in the widgets themselves and on the Advanced tab of the options page) and probably run a simple page caching plugin like WP Super Cache. If you want to test whether the RSS feeds are the problem or not, create a page with dummy content and see how that page loads. It should be a lot faster. If not, send me the link or post it here and I’ll take a look.

    Hope that helps!
