    Hi Josh, hope all is well.

    Am trying to change the background color of the entire page for rank it; what would be the easiest way to do this? Customize still leaves a border. Also, I would like to change the (main) color of the highlighted boxes. Thought I saw a post somewhere here about that, but it didn’t work.

    Thanks in advance.

    Burt,

    The customizer option changes the main background but the content area will remain white. If you want that white background to go away, you’ll need to add CSS to the theme like:

    .inner-wrapper {background: transparent}

    Easiest way to do that is upgrade to WP 4.7 (available today!) or use the Simple Custom CSS plugin.

    Thanks Josh. The main problem i am still having is that I want to change the primary color settings from the ones offered. I did see this post; https://theproperweb.com/support/topic/change-color/#post-2531 but no matter what I do I cannot get the colors to change. Have tried custom css plugin and the new WP additional css. Am using latest rank it wp.

    All I want is for the arrow color and that color that appears when hovering over a submission on homepage to be gray like on product hunt or some other color.

    Any ideas ?

    Thanks again.

    If it’s not appearing to change then you’re either not being specific enough in the CSS or it’s just incorrect. What’s the CSS you’re using?

    Thanks for the reply. Obviously I must be doing something wrong. Could you let me know what code I can enter into css to make the primary site color and voting icon to be #ffd712 for example, as opposed to the default color options.

    Thanks in advance,

    Burt

    Oh, as a side note … The gold option that is available under primary site color would work, but on the home page it looks muted; almost another color. Not sure if this matters.

    You have to customize the main bg color css styles in the settings page in “advanced” tab. Please change border color in the “border and color” tab.

    Hope this helps.
